Activities:

Read all about Viking food and a typical day on a Viking farm.

Learn some food terms in Old Norse or Icelandic, the languages of the Vikings.

Look up the word council and find it's meanings and origins. (Find out how it is different from the word counsel!)

Malevolent is an interesting word -- look it up!

Would you be brave enough to stand up to a dragon and ask him questions? If so, what would you say? Write a dragon interview in Dragonese. (It's very simple; you just put a dash in between every word, like this -- "Hello-dragon-what-is-your-name?")
