Super Easy Microwave Popcorn Balls

I know some people don't make homemade popcorn balls at the holidays because making the candy portion can be complicated and messy. Not with this recipe! The kids will have a blast and you add flavor and color by using Jell-O.

1/2 cup butter
6 cups miniature marshmallows
1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O gelatin dessert, any flavor
12 cups of popped popcorn

Place butter and marshmallows in large microwaveable bowl. Cook in microwave on HIGH power (100%) for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed.

Add dry Jell-O gelatin dessert mix and then stir until well blended.

Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn. Stir quickly to coat. Work quickly because mixture will thicken.

Shape into balls, teddy bears, or other shapes with buttered hands. Decorate as desired.

Yield: makes approximately 36 popcorn balls.

Note: You can add 1 cup of peanuts or raisins to the popcorn in you desire.
