Each President chooses a vice President as his running mate - and this man server our country alongside the President. Many of our Vice President' later go on to become President as they are able to run for office after the second term has ended of the President which they served. The Vice President has added importance because if anything would happen to the President which would cause he or she not to be able to serve our country - the Vice President would automatically be sworn as the President.
